This is what I think of scabs

I AM ASTONISHED that the Journalist gives over valuable space to Roy Greenslade whose journey from Marxist to management lackey I am one of those old enough to remember.

His pathetic hand-wringing and re-writing of history does him no credit — nor the Journalist’s editor in printing such drivel.

Greenslade would have been kicked out of the NUJ for strike-breaking 20 years ago had the Thatcher anti-union laws not prevented us taking any action against such low-lifes.

His attitude towards the NUJ and the union’s line on journalists taking on extra multimedia duties was the same guff I heard from the pro-management crawlers I encountered when we first set up NUJ chapels in the 1970s.

I’m all for broad debate within the NUJ — but Greenslade was yesterday’s man a long time ago.

Enough scabs already.
