How are new media doing?

AS STAFFING cutbacks devastate the print media, the NUJ is conducting a survey to find out the position in new media offices. It is asking website journalists to provide information on these points:

Are there cuts in your workplace? Are budgets being cut and is this affecting staff numbers?

Or ...

Is your company investing more in new media?

Are freelance budgets being cut? If you are a freelance, is work in new media drying up?

Are you allowed to do proper journalistic work — or are you expected to cut and paste material and/or write promotional material instead of straightforward journalism. Is this a problem for you?

Are you finding the industry more or less secure than it has been in recent years?
