I WAS reassured and relieved to see that the policeman taking a picture of freelance photographer David Hoffman at work (Victor Noir, last issue) was clearly wearing his number on his shoulder epaulette.

I UNDERSTAND how Anne Wollenberg feels about PRs pushing subjects she doesn’t want (Gripe, last issue). The problem is that many clients and bosses pressure PRs to get coverage for something they think is important and it should be up to the agency or PR to explain how the media really works. Mind you, sometimes the PRs don’t have a clue either.
