Journalists at Thomson Reuters, the giant international news agency, have voted in favour of industrial action over working conditions. The group wants to get rid of the nine-day fortnight for staff who have won it in the past. The union says that, with a pay offer of just 1.25 per cent and profits of £591 million, Thomson Reuters can maintain the nine-day working fortnight.
