Others have commented on the new layout for The Journalist — I’d like to offer congratulations on the content of the latest issue. There were a series of worthwhile, and useful, articles, on issues like local authorities taking over council reporting and the ‘freak TV’ from press websites untrammelled by regulation.

Why still waste money printing this glossy magazine? Is there a single NUJ member who does not have a computer? Why not just save by going completely on-line and use the money on helping NUJ members instead? (Plus there would be less waste on plastic and paper)
