Bring back the closed shop!
The media owners are definitely responsible for the state of our industry, for they have stooped into accepting “any story, any picture” from the public. Suddenly there are millions of would-be journalists and photographers with up to date technology, mobile phones etc. There should be a rule whereby the media cannot print any story or picture if it did not come from within our union.
