Record progress

NUJ members at The Daily Record & Sunday Mail have ended their industrial action against compulsory redundancies and changes to staff contracts that meant an increase in hours and changes in status for many members.

NUJ Scottish Organiser Paul Holleran said sufficient progress had been made for the chapel to accept the position and negotiations were continuing.

“We want management to help restore some goodwill,” he said, “and take a partnership approach to the introduction of the new editorial system and ways of working for the future of the titles.”
