No coverage of Wales means no sale to me

CATHRYN SCOTT is not the only one who is fed up with the way the media treats Wales.

Recently I was offered the Daily Mail delivered at half price for three months. Out of curiosity I bought a copy. I glanced through the 110 pages but failed to find a single item of Welsh interest in the news or sports sections.

So far as I could see, the paper has no Wales-based correspondent, and I wonder if it ever carries news from the Welsh Assembly Government, or from the National Eisteddfod, the Llangollen International Eisteddfod or the Welsh League of Youth (Urdd) National Eisteddfod?

I concluded that the Daily Mail is completely English, and particularly London-orientated — though in fairness it is probably no worse than other daily newspapers printed in London. So, I decided not to take up the offer and stick to my Western Mail, although that is far from perfect.
