I WAS very pleased to read about the reunion of the former Nottingham Evening Post journalists 30 years after their bitter strike (last issue).
But some buffoon of a sub made the glaring error of referring to Brian Clough as the manager of something called Notts Forest.
As a training aid, anyone using that phrase in my newsroom receives some helpful feedback, and the promise of being thrown out of the window if they ever repeat it.
It’s Nottingham Forest and Notts COUNTY. As Brian Clough would have said: “I may not always be right, but I’m never wrong”.
