It’s Multi-Media Commission 2.0
THE NUJ is reviving its study of the effects of digital convergence on journalists’ work. The Commission on Multi-Media Working was set up by the 2007 annual conference to come up with recommendations for chapels on how to ensure decent staffing, hours, conditions and so on.
It produced a 55-page report, Shaping the Future, in December 2007 and now the national executive has asked the eight-member group to reassemble to find out how things have moved on in the last 12 months.
The last report was based on a questionnaire to chapels and a revised one will be sent to all chapels early in the new year.
